The Unveiling Seven Continents Yearbook Journal (U7Y Journal) is part of Swiss International University (SIU) efforts to strengthen its position as a forward-looking academic institution by expanding its international research publishing ecosystem. SIU is committed to open science, ethical publishing, and working with other academics around the world for the long term.

As universities around the world face more and more pressure to show the impact of their research, be open, and be easy to find, SIU has made U7Y Journal a credible, internationally accessible platform for researchers from all over the world and in all fields.

A Globally Registered and Peer-Reviewed Academic Journal

As part of its larger mission to promote research and the sharing of knowledge, Swiss International University supports the U7Y Journal. The Unveiling Seven Continents Yearbook Journal (U7Y Journal) has the ISSN number 3042-4399 and is officially registered with the Swiss National Library (Record Nr. sz991019398437303976). This means that it will be recognised as a legitimate publication for a long time.

U7Y Journal is an international academic journal that is open to everyone and has full editorial independence. It follows the ethical and scholarly publishing standards that are accepted around the world, which are in line with the rules of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This alignment builds trust among authors, reviewers, and academic partners all over the world.

Indexing Around the World and Finding Academic Work

One of the journal's best features is its wide range of indexing and discovery coverage, which makes research much more visible and likely to be cited. U7Y Journal is listed and indexed on top global platforms, such as:

  • Ex Libris Discovery System, which helps university libraries work together

  • Dimensions (Digital Science) for tracking citations and doing research analytics

  • ResearchGate and Semantic Scholar, which help academics connect with each other and find each other

  • OpenAlex, which makes open research data easier to find

  • WorldCat, which links the journal to library networks all over the world

  • BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), one of the biggest academic search engines in the world

Thanks to these platforms, researchers, institutions, and policymakers from all over the world and in all fields can access U7Y Journal content.

Open Access, DOIs, and Infrastructure for Authors

U7Y Journal uses a full open-access publishing model, which means that all of its articles are available for free under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This method lets people read, share, and cite without limits while still protecting the author's rights and giving credit.

Every published article gets a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) with the Crossref-registered prefix 10.65326. This makes sure that the article can always be found, that it can be cited correctly, and that it will be preserved digitally for a long time.

U7Y Journal became an ORCID Member Organisation on January 1, 2026, which helps improve research integrity by making it easier to identify authors and give credit to scholars. This is becoming more and more important in global research evaluation frameworks.

ISO-Certified Quality and Institutional Compliance

The U7Y Journal runs on a certified ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organisation Management System, which is part of SIU's larger quality assurance framework. This certification shows that there is structured governance, quality control, and ongoing improvement in the editorial and publishing processes.

By following internationally recognised management and quality standards in its academic publishing operations, SIU shows that research dissemination is not just about the amount of research published; it is also about governance, accountability, and trust.

Moving SIU’s Global Research Mission Forward

Through the U7Y Journal, Swiss International University continues to expand its international academic footprint. It does this by supporting interdisciplinary research, early-career scholars, and the exchange of knowledge around the world. The journal is more than just a place to publish; it is part of SIU's larger plan to promote ethical open access, make research more visible, and bring academic publishing up to global standards.

As research ecosystems change, SIU’s investment in strong, open, and globally integrated publishing infrastructure makes the university an active participant in the future of global scholarship.
